How to cook and serve our food

Our Chicken

 

  1. Hob - Low heat for 5 - 6 minutes with lid on, then 1 more minute with lid off.

  2. Oven - Take lid off the provided container and cover with tin foil heat for 10 minutes at 180°C 

  3. Microwave - in the provided container (loose lid on), 3 minutes at medium heat

  • Delicious with a base of black rice or with a fresh salad on the side.

Meatballs 

  1. Hob - Low heat 6 - 8 minutes covered. Finish to cook with lid off for 2 more minutes, stiring it occasionally.

  2. Oven - Take the lid off the provided container and cover with tin foil, heat for 10 minutes at 180C 

  3. Microwave - In the provided container ( loose lid on),  4 minutes  at medium heat 

 

  • Delicious with a base of black rice or focaccia

  • If you have some Parmesan and rocket they go well on top 

  • Do not dare eating it with spaghetti, this is a big Italian no no!

Calabrian Aubergine Balls 

  1. Oven - Heat the Aubergine Balls at 180C for 8 minutes, in the provided container lid off. 

  2. Heat the sauce separately 

  3. Microwave - Empty sauce from bag: 3 minutes covered (loose lid).

  4. Hob - Place the sauce in a small pot and warm it for 4-5 minutes medium heat.

  • Delicious with a base of black rice or you can use it as a vegetarian option for your panino.

  • If you have some mint and parsley, they go well on top. 

Black Rice 

  1. Hob - Add half of a cup of water to a saucepan and gently cook the rice for 6 minutes, or until water is absorbed and rice is tender but still with a crunchy bite.

  2. Oven - Keep the provided container but remove the lid. Add half a cup of water, cover with tin foil, 7-8 minutes. 

  3. Microwave - Half a cup of water, keep in provided container with lid on, shake it well and heat for 3 minutes at medium heat

  • Delicious as a base to our other dishes

  • If you are having it by itself: season with olive oil and salt or why not with a nice vinaigrette.

Porchetta 

  1. Heat in a preheated oven for 3 minutes as this will render the fat and add much more flavour. You can do this in any oven safe container or you can enjoy it as it is, wait 10 minutes after taking it out of the fridge

  • Delicious in a panino with the focaccia and one of our pestos or tomato sauce.

Marinated Courgettes

  1. To be eaten cold, either at fridge temperature or at room temperature. I recommend eating them 10 minutes after taking them out of the fridge.

  • Delicious as a side to our other dishes, with black rice or focaccia

  • I recommend adding some fresh mint if you have some

  • If you have some creamy cheeses such as mozzarella or burrata - this is a great combo!

Basil Pesto

  1. To be used and eaten cold. Do not microwave this! 

  • You can have this on focaccia, on the meatballs or really if i'm honest on almost anything!

Sicilian-Style Sun-dried Tomato Pesto

  1. To be used and eaten cold. Do not microwave this! 

  • Makes a nice bruschetta with the focaccia, or as with the basil pesto- add to almost everything!

Tomato Sauce

  1. Can be heated in any safe method, as well as used cold

  • There are many ways you can use the tomato sauces. It can be the base to a whole lot of your cooking

Truffle and Porcini Arancini

  1. Take the lid off the provided container and heat for 10 minutes at 220C. 

  2. I recommend turning them after 5 minutes to make sure you get the best, uniform crunch

  • These make a great starter or side, all the deep flavours have been already packed inside the risotto so eat as is!
