‘A Casa’ is a monthly night where we sit with friends and friends-to-be at a table. There, we share food, stories and experiences. We feed the stomach and the soul. We feel home.
‘A Casa’ is the Portuguese description for “house” or “home”.
“Casa” is where we first learn what love means. It is where we speak our first words, where we have our first ideas and dreams but also our first disappointments when mum says ‘No’. “Casa” is where we take our first friends and show them the posters on the wall and say “this is me”. “Casa” is where we were grounded and had some time alone to become better selves.
At “casa”, we learn how to be. At “casa”, we sit around a table and turn a lunch into a dinner through endless conversations. At “casa”, we strive daily to make what surrounds us more beautiful, exciting and inspiring.
In a city where there are so many people ‘displaced’ from their casas and where 'home' is a default shared experience, we want to bring people together to live with us transformed concepts of ‘home’ for an afternoon or a night.
Every month, we will create an event where you will experience one or more dimensions of a “Casa”: it can be a shared meal, a joint conversation about a specific topic or a film session accompanied by a hot chocolate.
Welcome home. Welcome to ‘A Casa’.
