‘A Casa’ is comprised by a trio of Portuguese earthlings who miss home sometimes. With different backgrounds - communication, design, cookery, cinema and music - they came to work together, united by the desire to recreate experiences that make them feel close to familiar moments and people.
→ Beatriz Cóias
Beatriz was born in Lisbon and moved to London 4 years ago shortly after finishing her degree in communication design in Porto.
Following a few years of working full-time in different design areas, she is now enjoying the freelance life and being the co-founder of Studio Pyramid.
She has found a home in Clapton and can mostly be found feeding other people’s cats. Beatriz has a collection of victorian novels and books with nice covers. Has tried and failed to learn how to play the bass and has a short attention span.
→ Catarina Barroso
Catarina was born in Lisbon in the year Top Gun became many people’s favourite film.
The love for her city didn’t stop her from moving to Barcelona at the tender age of 21, where she completed an intensive course of attending Primavera Sound, a masterclass in drinking Gin & Tonic, as well as an actual masters in Creative and Strategy in Advertising.
It’s now been almost 5 years since an advertising job brought her to London, just in time to witness a bunch of Britons going mental for the Olympics.
→ Ines Subtil
Inês was born in Porto in the 70’s, in the year a massive gorilla made its comeback to cinema screens. Watching King Kong for the first time helped her develop an immeasurable love for all animals - including some of the most beastly humans (most of the time).
She studied Film and TV and worked in the business for a while, until she realised her true passion is to eat and cook plant based foods. It’s now been 4 years since she shifted her focus and moved to London to hone her chef skills.
Inês’ most expensive shoes are a pair of slippers and she doesn’t understand why people put mushrooms in tins.
